This was a pretty good continuation of the story begun in book one, however I felt is suffered a bit from middle book syndrome. I had trouble getting into it as much as I did the first one.

That being said, it definitely picked up momentum towards the end, and set up some interesting threads to be explored in the next (final?) book.

The prose is good, and the characters are interesting for the most part.

I'll be continuing this series.
