in all seriousness, it was refreshing that nancy finally got called out on her rashness and arrogance, especially whenmr. owen is recuperating and she literally gives him a heart attack bc she just can’t hold back . i mean obviously it’s resolved in like three pages but still. and the mystery was genuinely interesting! less structured than others, and the sort of dark ending was also unusual in a good way. plus who doesn’t love a book that hinges on a wild untameable sea? couldn’t be me!
