The Bachelorette Party by Sandra Block
3.0
I received an advance audiobook of "The Bachelorette Party" by Sandra Block, thanks to NetGalley and Highbridge Audio. The story follows Alex, who is on the brink of marriage but finds herself embroiled in an investigation involving the 666 killer. The narrative skillfully alternates between the past and present, maintaining a smooth flow throughout.
The book excels at keeping readers on their toes; just when I thought I had all the pieces figured out, a significant twist at the end completely took me by surprise. This fresh approach distinguished it from other books I've read, and I appreciated the clever pacing. However, despite the strong finish, some parts of the middle section felt somewhat underdeveloped and struggled to hold my attention fully. Overall, I enjoyed the book, especially how the author nailed the ending, which redeemed the earlier slower parts for me.
