CW: diabetic, gaslighting

This was my first read since leaving the hospital and getting new glasses. Once I got going, I really enjoyed this one. I did like how Ms. Hazelwood dived into adjunct life, especially with how much it has been in the news over the last few years.

I really enjoyed reading how Elsie and Jack got to know each other. My one hangup remains that we don't get to read about Jack's side of the growing relationship. I did find Elsie's avoidance issues interesting. This felt like a very comforting read for all the issues pushing on Elsie and Jack. I'm very glad that this was the book to get me back in my reading groove.
