This might be controversial, but I preferred the book events to the show! The miscommunication in the show between Penelope and Eloise and then Penelope and Colin was painful, and him being supportive and them working as a team to figure out what to do was way more preferable. I will say that I wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that Colin was the one who revealed her, I think that the show having her reveal herself and take back her power in a way was so slay.
