The Setting Sun by Osamu Dazai

medium-paced

5.0

this is written with such a deep feeling of shame and humiliation.
found it fascinating the juxtaposition between her and her brother naoji, the familiar relationships in general... he writes dysfunction well... strained yet...
i feel a lot of this was about alienation, much like no longer human, but in a different context. kazuko obvi reacting to it differently too.
its hopeless and pathetic but she keeps living, and finds reasons too, shes really the only one in her family that could adjust in a way.
very inner turmoil-y and honest.
i feel empty. as per the course with dazai.
