The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Well, if the kids on Dawson's Creek ever got cancer, it would read like this book. I am personally quite fond of this sort of thing. It gives the teens that read it the notion that they might aspire to be amateur philosophers and grow impressive vocabularies. If I were younger, I'd have underlined many a passage. I'd have even marked this a pivotal book in my young life, I imagine. It's witty, tugs at the heartstrings. Quintessential YA.
