i loved maame. it's a coming-of-age story, but make it at age 25. it's very human and sweet, i laughed and i cried. i feel like maame also did a good job of showing the racism that black people experience that isn't blatant or obvious to the white people around them, or that the white people (wrongly) might let slide, and how tiring and harmful it is. also—i hate ben.
