MY FAVOURITE SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE OF ALL TIME!!!
Y'ALL. THIS BOOK!!!! Johnny, Kennedy and Maddie deserve the whole damn word <3
I love the dual POV in the present tense, blended with Kennedy's journal entries of the past. One of my biggest concerns when reading dual timeframes in a book is that sometimes it can feel very jarring, but this book? The past and present intersected so beautifully, it was effortless. The way we get to watch them mend their relationship now, while seeing how their relationship fell apart the first time around was just so well done.
This story was the perfect amount of pain and pleasure, angst and anticipation, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I absolute ADORE little Maddie so much
