2022 review:
after 2.5 months, I have finally finished this series and boy what a ride it's been!!
this was kind of underwhelming as a final book, it kind of felt like filler, but I still enjoyed it and i can't really see how else sara shepard could've ended it.
now onto each storyline:
hannah's was all over the place - i don't understand how she planned an entire wedding in a week while going to court everyday for a murder case.
spencer's was forgettable. like i literally do not remember anything about her story apart from a certain boy from the past coming back as a romantic interest, and her trying to run away sort of.
aria's was fine - kinda interesting but could've done with a bit more fleshing out.
emily's was probably the best of the four even though she's hardly in the book. i don't want to spoil anything so im not going to say anything more about her story but i liked it.
overall, would i read this series again now that i've read it consistently over 2.5 months? probably not, but never say never. it is clear i am no longer the target audience for the book. it is very simple and i have outgrown it. but who knows - maybe i will read it again in six years (though unlikely)!

I really liked this series, but it's been seriously dragged out. I've stuck with the series because I wanted to know how it ended, even though we knew books ago that it was Ali doing all of this.
The TV series is the exact same, in terms of being dragged on and on and on....
This book series is just so interesting - you want to know WHY Ali did what she did for so long. Can I just say that Ali is seriously messed up!
The thing with this series is that because there are so many books, you forget what's happened. I read this so along that I've forgotten why Ali was tormenting the girls (probably something to do with Courtney swapping places and whatnot).
Just glad it's finally done. We all have closure. WOOOOOO!!
