Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett
5.0
Death books seem to be my favorite Discworld books, as they take on an inevitably existential tone -- as you do when Death is your main character. There's a sad sweetness to both this, Mort and Hogfather that I really appreciate.
The B-plot of Reaper Man concerns itself with all the excess life building up from Death's holiday, and the Wizards of Unseen University (truly Pratchett's most personal characters, I feel) dealing with the cancerous growths that start to manifest in Ankh-Morpork, is very funny as well.
