It took me awhile to come back to this series after reading Court in 2022 because I found Grace increasingly annoying in that. Unfortunately, she’s still annoying. I love Hudson and enjoyed all of his chapters but I could feel myself becoming more and more annoyed with Grace’s POV throughout the book. Her thought process was so repetitive and it felt like she had to convince herself that she even liked Hudson. The chapters were so repetitive, I felt the timeline was confusing, and completely guessed the plot with the mayor halfway through. 

I felt the same way with Court and I think it’ll take me a bit to pick up the next one - and I’ll read it only because I bought it when it came out and this far in the series I feel obligated to finish.
