This is the second Freida book I’ve tried, and while I found Never Lie to be slightly better than The Housemaid, I still do not understand the hype. One of the “big twists,” was very obvious to me, another slightly obvious, and one that I did not predict but was so implausible I don’t know that anyone could predict that one. I finished the book, but honestly I wish I didn’t. That is time I cannot get back lol. It’s a very easy read, and the chapters are short so it’s a fast read which I guess is a positive?! Needless to say, I will not be reaching for any more Freida books. Just not my cup of tea.
