Cecilia travels across the ocean to find her brother but when she arrives she finds Edward (Thomas's good friend) injured. He needs her help, so she tells everyone they are married. They've corresponded through letters between Cecilia and Thomas, and when Edward awakens he's forgotten the past 4-months. She keeps up the ruse so that she can use Edwards's good name to help her in the search for Thomas. Immediate attraction turns to love and so much more, but Cecilia fears Thomas doesn't feel the same (or won't once he finds out the truth). Such a good historical romance!!
