This one was a little disappointing for me. Coming off the back of Willa and Ryder’s book I was looking forward to this one, another Bergman, but it just didn’t hit the same.
The positives-
- Chronic pain rep
- Autism rep (multiple different kinds!!!)
- Fleshed out FMC
- Wholesome feel overall
Issues/negatives-
- Too much unnecessary inner dialogue, the space could’ve been used to build on their relationship
- the inner dialogue was also far too cringey
- there was a slight lack of chemistry in the relationship, it felt instantaneous
- MMC lacked complexity, he felt like a background character
Overall I just think book one was far better. I’m looking forward to book three though, I anticipate it’s going to be my favourite of them all.
