hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced

If only there were more pages! "Choices" by Nikki Giovanni is one of my favorite poems. I think I first heard it on Oprah's daily talk show when I was in high school. It has stuck with me for decades. None in this collection hit me as hard as "Choices" but still more than a couple of lines were jotted down while I read.

She was a singular voice, one I hope continues to rise despite her recent passing.
