I liked the premise and the pacing. I liked the fire in the heroine and the determination of the hero. Although I started to get attached to these two, the story took a turn for the worse. I hated the reaction of all the other characters. I had to remind myself that this was just a story but it didn't matter because all the misogyny was just the worst. I hated that our female lead had no hope. I liked the twist but I really did not like the resolution. There is no lesson. There is only abuse in all its disgusting forms against women and it seemed acceptable up to the end. After a while, I just got tired of it and the ending was not satisfying.
