I really enjoyed the worldbuilding of this novel, and as an adult I really enjoyed reading about the 13year olds whose lives are in turmoil. I'm hoping the next book meets the same high standard.
This story brushes along themes of gender stereotypes, fate, bullying, peer pressure, being thirteen, and death.
I definitely will recommend this to enjoyed of adventure, fantasy and stories with plenty of emotion woven through.
