Mr. Spencer by TL Swan
3.0
After finishing book one of the ‘Mr’ series, I immediately jumped into this one, since Spencer was one of Master’s close friend. It was noted repeatedly in this book and the previous that Spence was a player; which turned into a focal point of this story.
While I understood the dynamics society, wealth, and all that jazz played in Charlotte’s life. It really became annoying and her naïveté grated on my nerves.
The girl couldn’t make a decision to save her life. And ironically, it seemed Spence was trying to get her to step away from being controlled- while yet making decisions for her.
I would’ve given this story 4 stars, but I found some of the dialogue to be repetitive. And the heroine to be too annoying... so much so I found myself rooting for Spence to not reconnect with her. I agreed wholeheartedly with Beth, she didn’t deserve to be with him. He was MOST definitely too good for her.
Others on the list of go f** yourself: Lara, Penelope, Harold, and Edward.
Favorite moments: Sheridan confronting Charlotte; the proposal, and all interactions with the Misters.
