Adib Khorram always has a soft spot in my heart after it was stomped on by Darius the Great, so perhaps I'm a little biased with my rating. I enjoyed this book, I probably wouldn't pick it up again, but the main characters were cute and I liked the storyline. I wasn't a huge fan of the way that it feels like everything was somewhat wrapped in a bow without too much on-page. This book hits all the boxes of a rather typical rom-com, but I do enjoy Khorram's writing which made it an enjoyable read. I wish we had gotten more of a focus on Jackson's hearing and the way his family made not as much of an effort as they could have as well as Jackson's therapy sessions overall. That felt thrown in at the end and was obviously not meant to be the main focus, but it was probably one of my favorite parts. I also liked the way we saw the story through Jackson's point of view, with the loss of words and not always getting the full picture so we're in his shoes more than omnipresent beings!
