This is the perfect book to read during fall OR wintertime, because it is witchy & includes celebrating the winter solstice. It delivers wonderfully with its promise of cozy fantasy vibes. The narrator of the audio has a British accent, which I appreciate for it being set in England. I suspected how parts of the story would work out with the mixed-up found family, but I didn't guess the little twist at the end that let everything come full circle. The pacing was fine, and I liked the story and its characters. The comforting feeling of a book wrapping me in a blanket, though, was fun but didn't constantly urge me to pick it up to progress the narrative. I will check out the author's upcoming witchy book in the hopes of similar vibes.
