This was a really interesting exploration of the psychological impact time travel might have on people - on their mental health, relationships, their perceptions of death and of themselves, and so on. With a murder mystery to make the story a bit more intriguing than it might otherwise have been. The science and logic sort of falls apart but then that's part and parcel of any time travel story and for this book, it doesn't really matter as that's not what it's about, and it does a good job at making this alternate contemporary world feel real. Where it falls down for me personally is that I felt a bit too detached from the characters; it didn't have the emotional impact it could have had.
