Ghost by Daphne Loveling

Oh look, another self-published book by someone who doesn’t know, at the very least, what a story arc is.

Why write a book about a motorcycle club if you’re not going to bother researching how one works? Why have a big story arc like your father is a backstabbing thief if you’re not going to finish the plot line until the epilogue where you’ve just forgiven him out of nowhere? If you can’t write a story with a plot at least make the sex scenes good.

Ps- when you’re writing dialogue, maybe ask yourself if that’s really how people talk.

Pss- at the bare minimum, do a second edit.

This is why I don’t take book rec’s from TikTok or other social media book clubs. They’ll swear something is the best thing they’ve ever read, then I end up reading a prepubescent girls journal entry. I know I sound like a bitch, but literally this is the 4th book in a row that sounds like one of my middle school English students wrote it. It just gets frustrating.
