I read and absolutely loved the Elsa and Aiden trilogy.

Deviant King (Royal Elite #1) – 4.5 stars
Steel Princess (Royal Elite #2) – 4.2 stars
Twisted Kingdom (Royal Elite #3) – 4.2 stars

To begin with, I was sucked down a rabbit hole right from the start of book one, and WOW, did I FEEL this book! It took me on an emotional roller coaster, part of me wanted off, but I could hardly put it down. I felt Elsa’s pain, and to be honest, I didn’t like Aiden much in this first book. I wanted Elsa to get the hell away from him. The anger and hatred he directed toward her literally made my stomach clench. I kept wondering how in the world these two were ever supposed to end up together.

Elsa lives with her aunt and uncle, who adopted her after her parents died in a fire when she was seven. She remembers nothing about them or her life before the tragedy that put her in the hospital. She later enrolls in an exclusive high school for the elite and well-connected, where she is targeted on her first day by Aiden—one of the Four Horsemen who rule the school. From that moment on, she becomes a pariah, either mocked or ignored by the rest of the students, except for another outcast named Kimberly, who becomes her best friend.

This torment continues for two years until the first day of senior year when Elsa has a run-in with Aiden. Up until this point, she’s wanted nothing more than to stay off his radar. Now, she’s his entire focus. Yikes!
