There are some mixed feelings here ...
The world-building was okay, for me it was too much here and there ... but it is very rare that I love world-building.
I loved Zeke and Raven! Their connection was just magical. I fell in love with them from the very beginning.
I was invested in truly knowing who and what Raven was. So I kept reading into the world-building.
I was into the whole triangle aspect, but I really started disliking Cade. I mean after what he did, what he hid, and what he lacked ... it was a big no.
I was getting whiplash from some of the characters, but I just could not put the book down. I cannot stand the miscommunication trope, and I feel like Raven portrayed a lot of that. I hope it gets better in book 2.
I truly loved the way this ended, I have the highlights to prove it 🤣😂 I will continue the series ... especially to see what happens with Zeke and Raven, and to see Cade fall from this high pedestal he has put himself on.
