This was a best friends brother/surprise custody of a kid/childhood crush romance.
Holland has been in love with Reed since she was a preteen following him around with his little sister/her best friend. But Reed is just starting to see Holland as the woman she is rather than his sisters BFF.
Then Reed’s world gets thrown upside down when he finds out he is the only suitable relative to take custody of his step sisters 3 year old son (whom he has never met).
Evan was the sweetest kid and his obsession with ocean creatures was adorable. But it kinda seemed too easy. Evan just fit in and suddenly Reed’s playboy life changed so easily to fit in both Evan and Holland. It kind of just seemed too easy.
Overall it was a quick and fun read. I adore hockey romances! I hope Emery gets her own story because I loved her character!!
