A Pinch of Magic
by Michelle Harrison
A Pinch of Magic is a perfectly proportioned mixture of historical fiction and fantasy. I picked this up on the recommendation of BookTuber Alexandra Roselyn.
I was very satisfied with the description of place, the problem in the plot, and the adventures of Betty and her sisters and other characters whose story intertwines with them. I'm not much of a fantasy reader but Harrison did a great job adding "a pinch of magic" to what is essentially historical fiction.
I loved all three sisters but, Betty was my favorite because of her gumption and determination. I'd highly recommend this book.
