Lurking: How a Person Became a User by Joanne McNeil

3.0

I found this utterly engaging (despite objectively subpar audiobook production; McNeil reads the text awkwardly, with false stops in some sentences or when quoting others). I'm probably predisposed to like it, since McNeil discusses the ways the internet differs from a library, and also since she and I are of a similar age.

An anecdotal and cultural history of the internet's beginnings and its possible future.
