This book was interesting. I actually finished it quite a while back but it's taken me so long to write this review because I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it.

I was under the impression this was meant to be a mystery/suspense book; however, it felt more like a meandering journey through family dysfunction. That is not inherently a bad thing and I did enjoy the journey, but I feel like the book missed the mark of what it was trying to be.

I did enjoy the main character and the journey through the inner ramblings of a UPS driver dad. He was simple, and kind, and clearly cared for his daughter, even when she wasn't always deserving of that care.

That being said, if there was supposed to be a twist ending to this book or honestly, any sort of climax, I missed it. There were big things that happened, but none of it really felt like a turning point in the story that would have qualified. As such, I felt like the book ended somewhat abruptly because I kept waiting for something bigger to happen.

So, while it was an enjoyable journey, it wasn't fully what I expected or wanted from a book of this genre.
