Drive Me Crazy by Beth Bolden
4.0

I couldn't get a very good read on who Tony is as a person in this book - he seemed a little all over the place? I'm going back to write this review after reading a few more books in the Food Truck Warriors series, and I feel like I've got a much better idea of who Tony is now (and I appreciate him so much more!)

While this is a pretty low angst, minimal drama falling in love romance with the main tension happening outside Tony and Lucas' developing romance, there's enough tension there that it gave me major feels. Both Lucas and Tony very quickly are basically like "well this is inevitable, may as well give in!" so it felt a little insta-love-ish at times. Still, I love their back and forth banter and super heated moments (and not just because it's hot in that food truck!)

This is the first book in the Food Truck Warriors series, and can be read as a stand-alone. It does tie in to another of Beth Bolden's series, as Tony's brother Wyatt and his boyfriend (husband? now I can't remember) are the main characters of the Kitchen Gods series book two, Catch Me, and there are likely some spoilers for that book in this one.

Related series: Kitchen Gods, Star Shadow, The Riptide, Food Truck Warriors, Miami Piranhas
...my characters all exist in the same universe, and often cross-over... you can read out of order. Connecting books can be read in order to give a deeper, wider understanding of the universe, but are never necessary.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are unbiased and my own.
