I loved it!
I've had this on the shelf for years and finally got around to reading it. Just finished it 5 minutes ago and I am once again in awe of the imagination and creativity of Ian Banks. It is such a tragedy that he is no longer with us. This was one of the hardest books I have ever read, getting used to reading phonetically is a challenge, but boy is it worth it. Young Bascule is the most awesome character I have read in years. The concepts and ideas in this book are almost beyond human imagination. It can get somewhat confusing at times but I am so glad I stuck with it.
