The Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel
3.0

An interesting look at the early space program from the perspective of the wives of the astronauts. The perspective is new, but there isn't lot of new information in this book, particularly for the Mercury astronauts. In fact, I felt like the first third of the book was written based on viewing "The Right Stuff" - the anecdotes all seem to be describing scenes from that movie - from John Glenn's chastising his adulterous colleagues to the visit to a Texas rodeo. Later anecdotes (Apollo period) felt a little more fresh.
