The Host
by Stephenie Meyer
I have to say, when I first started my expetations were not very high because of Twilight and all that. But The Host actually turned out to be better, way better. There was the love story, of course, but this was way deeper. I loved Wanda, but at times she would get really spineless and it would irk me and I would be talking or yelling at her. (Yes, I yell at fictional characters) I cried toward the ending, but by the time I was finished I was grinning. It was a really good book, and I think it redeemed Stephenie Meyer in my eyes.
