Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again by Rachel Held Evans

5.0

A fantastic exploration of the Bible and the beauty progressive Christians see in it, amidst so much (at times, troubling) intricacy and depth. As I finished it, I was so saddened to think of Held Evans passing so recently, and so early. These last couple weeks as I have listened to her voice read her words, I have been encouraged to see new light in Scripture. Queer Christians, Trans Christians, and Christians of any sort who have had the Bible weaponized against them have a new revelation in this book from a wise ally.
