This was such a let down about halfway through the story. I was happy to get my hands on a thick manga book with a detailed expression that showcases anger and frustration realistically. On top of that, her being my age (mid twenties) speaks volumes about how we’re always feeling like we’re in between discovering who we are and being drowned at how at a loss we are.

It also highlights that no matter how aware one person is at being socially aware about rampant misogyny (being that this is set and made in Japan), being recognized as a person with less power and speaking out about stereotypes, it doesn’t mean that one is able to escape it.

My initial excitement of finally finding a socially conscious character speaking her mind even in the midst of doubting if what the other person sees in her is potential for greatness or indulgence just got slashed by the latter half of the chapters.

It confused me how she’s moved on from the one thing that sparked her anger and got her into the radio business—like it never happened again. If the title was curry job vs radio job what do i do, that would have been more realistic lol.

Some of the conversation, the storytelling and motivations of characters is clunky, it’s like holding a full bind of manga panels where the author got free rein and didn’t pass it off to the editors. So much potential and yet…
