Butterface by Avery Flynn
2.0

I liked the premise of this book but did not enjoy its execution. Gina was teased when she was younger for her looks and is still teased about it as an adult. The constant negative descriptions about her looks and the way people view her in the book, aside from a handful of characters, was a downer.
Spoiler The bit about "hazard pay" made me cringe and upset. The constant need to remind readers of Gina's big nose and bugly eyes was irritating.
Gina's relationship with her brothers was a highlight but the way it plays out in the end was disappointing. Although this is the first in a series, I won't be reading any of the other novels. Perhaps I'll check out Flynn's other series of books but this one was a disappointing romance.
