Meghan Quinn books are always reliable in the sense that you know they’ll fill a reading hole and you can usually fly through them.

I enjoyed the way the main characters had such witty flirty banter that they thought was hateful but clearly wasn’t and was fuelled by desire. It made me chuckle because I was like come on kids, put away the foam swords and give each other a little hug.

Maggie and Hattie’s friendship reminded me of me and my bestie and I LOVED it!! So wholesome and funny and open and that’s brill!

Editing is not great ngl, there were too many words in places, not enough in some, paragraph breaks were missing and honestly just not great.

Also note to self: read the blurb! I had to give Brody a different name because he has the same name as my brother and let me tell you- don’t read spicy scenes with your brothers name in because frankly it was making me want to crawl into a hole and vomit. So Brody became Henry and I just about managed. His bedroom talk was great though- also, Princess? Yes pls.

Overall, classic Quinn tbh. Nothing outstanding or special but it was fast and easy and funny. Also I love the stand-alone interconnected vibe. I think it’s a better approach to a series because there’s no pressure to read in order!
