Jolene hates her job at SuperStores. Not enough to quit, but enough to giving the bare minimum and to hide mean messages in her mails. Until one day she got caught and being put on a development plan. Due to an IT error she gained admin access to all mailboxes and chats. A whole new world is opening up to her. And she is using the new force for her best....maybe
"I hope this finds you well" was my first novel by Natalie Sue and I enjoyed it much. The author created a millennial character with a boring job, trapped in the corporate hamster wheel and an annoying family whose only goal is to find a husband for her. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Jolene is not easy to love. She thinks very low of herself, cuts off people and speaks her mind without sugarcoating it (which I really loved). After she gained access to everyone's mails she did, what nearly everyone would have done: she read them. And found proof, what her colleagues are thinking of her. But instead of hating and giving up, she creates a chaotic plan. Chaotic and loveable.
I laughed so hard, I cheered for Jolene and yes, I also was in tears while reading this novel. It is summing up the corporate life of many employees and it is pointing out, what's wrong with this world and especially with some team members. The ending caught me off-guard and I loved it!
Natalie Sue wrote an office-novel, that hits right in the heart of every coporate millennial. I am strongly recommending it!
