The Dark Days Pact by Alison Goodman

4.0

Initial thoughts after reading: FOR FUCK'S SAKE, SELBURN, YOU GODDAMN SON OF A BITCH!!!! YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PURPOSE AT ALL, YET YOU ARE BUTTING IN EVERYWHERE, GODDAMNIT!!!!

Serious review to come. I am just so agitated right now. Damn him, that bastard.

Review:

After finishing this book I was very, very pissed. And agitated. Don't get me wrong, I love our main character Helen, I love Lord Carlston and Darby. But there is this one character that just has NO PURPOSE AT ALL, namely the Duke of Selburn. I hope he rots in hell and stops putting his nose into things that just don't concern him.

Okay, change of topic. The writing was superb, as is usual, and once again it is clear how much effort Alison Goodman put into her research. The pacing in this book was a little bit off, though, the beginning was quite slow.

There is a smidge more romance in this installment and I was craving every second of it. I NEED MORE! And I also need the third book right now 'cause that ending set me off like a rocket. I'm filled with rage again just thinking about that ending. Goddamn him!
