The majority of this book was really good. The mystery was engrossing and the characters were interesting. I liked it right up to when you find out what happened. It didn’t seem to fit together. There wasn’t any moment when I thought ‘oh I get it’, so I just keep waiting for another twist so that it would make sense to me… and it never did.
I have so far read two of Sophie Hannah’s books (I have also read Little Face) and had the same problem. Good story up to a point then it gets kind of vague and doesn’t-make-sense. Not going to continue with the series.
1 Star - did not understand or like the ending and it ruined the whole book. Not going to read anything else by this author.
