How to Say Babylon: A Memoir by Safiya Sinclair
3.25
Beautifully written and such an interesting insight into the intersections of growing up under strict Rastafari tradition as a girl in Jamaica. I loved reading about Saf's mother in particular and the small snippets of life in Jamaica where we had those glimpses.
Unfortunately, the more I read, I found myself a little frustrated with the book as it was sometimes repetitive and I believe had some structural issues as well as being too long.
