I really enjoyed this one. The narrator voice is very well- defined, colorfully illustrating the world around him. Every character felt very distinct and interesting. It starts off a bit slow, but once they set out on their journey, every turn of the story feels so unexpected and weird and exciting.
Graphic: Violence
Moderate: Animal cruelty
A cat's life is endangered a couple times, but the cat is okay by the end of the book.
Quite a bit of violence between humans, goblins, and giants. Some of it is extreme but not usually described explicitly.
