I wasn't a fan of Toni at all, but the story is a parents worse nightmare. Your child has gone missing and I don't think any parent would be able to function properly.

A lot about Toni irritated me especially her encounters with Harriet while Evie is at school. She was too timid and mild, and when she was told to keep Evie away from her grandmother she should have put Harriet in her place.

But other than Toni's parenting and timid personality, the story was good. I didn't figure anything out and the ending was full of a million things.

A good, slightly frustrating read.
