The New Year's Party by Daniel Hurst

This book is incredibly short, so I find it hard to critique it on being a flushed out story. So for the amount of time we got with these characters, I felt like the author did a good job of laying everything out

Calling this a thriller is a huge stretch. If anything it's kind of just a bunch of curves in a road but nothing that made the hair on my neck stand up. The ending kind of felt like two people standing together being like "now watch this!" "No! now watch this!" Back-and-forth

I will say if you get to the first so-called twist and you think that's it you will be proven wrong and if you have an extra 20 or 30 minutes of your day that you want to fill with a short story, this would be a good read to pick up
