The USA trilogy is criminally underrated. The Big Money completes the set of stories and voices of the US working class between the dawn of the century and the 1929. This is modernism at its best, except it’s better because it’s actually class conscious. Hard to say if the first two volumes were better individually, but taken as a single whole it’s truly an incredible piece of literature.
