The Vanished Man by Jeffery Deaver

3.0

I loved the first half of the book and the last part. However, there is a scene that was just completely unbelievable to me. When the suspect escapes from capture, he does so by pretending to be dead. There isn't a police station in this country that wouldn't check for a pulse of a prisoner down. It was totally ridiculous that they would just accept that he was dead, seal the hall, and wait for Sachs to come run the scene. It would never happen. So even though I enjoyed the book before and after this chapter, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I will read the next book in the series, but I hope it doesn't have completely unbelievable incidents like this one.
