Anne of the Island
by L.M. Montgomery
I have a very strong memory of sitting on my mom’s couch and banging this book on the couch and yelling because I was so frustrated with Anne. This time I listened to the audiobook, and although I was still frustrated with her, I didn't feel the same strong reaction. (Since I was mostly listening at work, that might have also prevented such an outburst.) I especially enjoyed this book because it reminded me of my college experience. It’s fun that these are books I can grow up with and enjoy in different ways as I get older.
