I can see why so many people love this book. Its characters are vivid, and it doesn't shy away from the horrors of Nazi Germany or WWII. Personally, I enjoyed it, and I did tear up a little by the end, but it wasn't as soul-crushing or heart-wrenching as I heard people say it was. I also wasn't a huge fan of how the very end of the book was executed.
Graphic: Confinement, Death, Genocide, Hate crime, Violence, Antisemitism, and Grief
Moderate: Misogyny, Racism, and Sexism
