The Bristling Wood by Katharine Kerr

5.0

I wonder if the reason I didn't find this book as awful as other reviewers is because Robin Hobb's Tradeship trilogy broke me as a reader, so that I wasn't too surprised when things got super dark and weren't treated with the care that you would expect in a more modern book. Still I found this book to be super gripping and very difficult to put down, had me very anxious for Rhodry and Jill. With all the time jumps in the books, it's hard to keep track of when things are happening but I found surprising the lack of focus on Nevyn's whole "make things right" quest.
