An excellent foray into YA fantasy! The deaths are gruesome, the tension nonstop, and the resolution and unmasking of the villain is heartbreaking. Tang’s novel builds a world just like ours, but one where magic walks side by side with science, and where teenage depression, rage, and desperation prove deadly. I hope there is more to come in Tabitha’s world, I would happily return!
